A little bit about me…

Don’t want to bore you all to death, but I thought id share a little bit about myself and why I have decided to create Fitbible.

I fell in love with weight training and fitness in general when I was a teenager. Through college and university, I suffered really badly with my mental health, but going to the gym was my escape from that. I struggled to see the positive in life, apart from that one hour a day when I had my headphones in, just focusing on lifting weights.

I Dropped out of university after my first year, as it wasn’t for me, and I just wanted to turn my life around. Which I did. It was hard but I got rid of the things and people in my life that didn’t support me. I spend a year or so pissing around trying to find a “normal” job but then I was approached with the idea of becoming a Personal Trainer. Although risky as hell, I quit my 9-5 job, followed my passion and learnt how to help others achieve their goals.

While this was happening, I had started up a fitness account on Instagram, purely to motivate myself through others content and share my own little journey. That was in January 2017. Since then, my account has completely grown. I have been given so many amazing opportunities, worked with some lovely brands, started up an online coaching business and met some genuine friend for life.

Although mental health problems do not just disappear, my career change, online platform & being strong enough to see a light at the end of the tunnel has completely changed my life for the better, & to now be able to share my experience to help other is an overwhelming feeling.

So why did I decide to create Fitbible?

Fitbible was just an idea back in December 2017. I wanted to create something with a little more purpose than just a cropped jumper with a printed logo. Something that could be used as a measure of progress and could possibly make a change for the better in someone’s life. I am a strong believer in progression over a period of time to see results, which can be hard if you are unsure on what you did last session. Writing down goals, sessions and thoughts can help massively – so creating a book (Fitbible) to do just that, felt right!

Fitbible is months and months in the making. Coming from just an idea, to having an actual tangible book in my hands is the most unreal feeling ever. From staying up late at night writing each page, visiting publisher factories & worrying about how big the kettlebell should be on my logo, its all been worth it! I am super proud of Fitbible, may have taken a little longer than expected but it is exactly what I wanted.
